From the Ash(es)

We have been able to begin re-using the felled trees. Three trees were a risk because of dropping branches. An Ash tree close to the bridle path running alongside the 17th fairway was lost. The upside was a large pile of chippings closer to the spinney through which the bridle path often gets muddy October through to March.

The short travelling distance made it practical to lay chippings for the first time in many years. We also took the opportunity to cut back the sides and overhead to give better access to horses and walkers.

The first passers-by immediately appreciated the impact of the work. There is more work to do but it already looks much better.
