Golfers tackle new hazards

First it rained and then it froze. The weather is adding a new handicap to golfers taking on the challenge of playing a round at Batchwood.

The rain created a temporary lake which then froze. Intrepid as ever, the golfers kept playing.

As you walk up the entrance drive you may have also noticed there has been a lot for the golfers to navigate in addition to putting the ball in the hole. Immediately to your right you will see major work to re-design the 9th hole to reduce the risk of balls leaving the golf course. This has meant the practice hole is temporarily in use and a new sequence of greens to play. Work will take several months so say alert as you move about the area.
