Information boards raise our profile

With the generous support of Everyone Active, we are delighted to unveil new information boards in the wood.

The boards raise awareness of the heritage of the wood, how to enjoy it and how it is looked after. We have included suggested walking routes to promote exploration by the younger and the older members of our local community.

One board is sited close to the car park exit as you approach the Sports Centre. It is alongside the path leading to the picnic area. The second is sited where the golf course first gives way to the woods and captures the attention of people walking up the drive.

We will continue to find ways of raising the awareness of our local community towards this important natural space. We hope that some people will be inspired to join us and volunteer on a Friday or Sunday.
